An iOS app for finding, documenting, and sharing Art Deco architecture. Buildings are catalogued by city with their date, architect, and address, mapped against the districts they belong to, and open to contribution — anyone can add a photograph or suggest a correction to an entry.

Art Deco has always been one of my favorite styles. For years I photographed Art Deco buildings on my phone, mostly ones in the middle of the city that no one really looks at or thinks about. Eventually I had hundreds of them and no idea what to do with them. A building doesn't have to be the Eastern Columbia to deserve documenting, and most of them have a history nobody has written down. The archive was a way to think about that again, empty my phone, and give friends who look for the same buildings somewhere to put what they find.
