2. Information We Collect Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo through our authentication provider (Clerk). You may optionally add a username, bio, location, and website URL.

User content: Photographs you submit and edits you suggest are stored and associated with your account.

Usage data: We do not currently use third-party analytics. Basic server logs may capture IP addresses and request metadata for security and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information We use your information to:

  • Operate and maintain the app
  • Display your profile and contributions
  • Attribute photographs and suggested edits to your account
  • Respond to support requests
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of building records

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Photos You Submit Photos you upload are stored in our cloud storage and displayed publicly within the app. Your display name or username may appear alongside photos you contribute. If you delete your account, your photos may remain in the archive with authorship removed, to preserve the historical record.

5. Data Retention We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal profile information is removed. Contributed content (photos, accepted edits) may be retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of the archive.

6. Your Rights Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Object to certain processing of your data

7. Third-Party Services We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management (clerk.com)
  • Google Cloud Storage — photo storage

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

8. Children's Privacy Deco Archive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
