Up7 "Il Piede" Foot Lounge Chair in Black by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia Made in Italy, 2000 Series

Modern Black UP7 foot sculpture lounge chair by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia, 2000s. Surprisingly comfortable. This is in very good condition with two cracks – one on the top of the foot and one on the heel, approximately 6 and 3 inches respectively. 

In 1969, C&B Italia (now B&B Italia) invited Gaetano Pesce to experiment with a new polyurethane foam. Pesce’s UP Series came from this. Il Piede (or UP 7) was the last of the seven seating elements in the series. It was created by pouring expanding polyurethane foam into a mold based on the human foot, enlarged six times.
